Kunstsilo has been awarded The Most Beautiful Museum in the World at the Prix Versailles, an incredible moment for everyone who has been part of this journey.
What began as the transformation of an old grain silo on the Kristiansand waterfront has become a cultural landmark that continues to inspire visitors.
We, as the structural engineers, carried out the structural calculations and BIM modelling for this transformation, from preliminary phase through detailed design and technical assistance during construction, including the planning of all the detailed stages of the construction of the unconventional parts on site.
This award also reflects the commitment and collaboration of an outstanding team form by Rambøll, Backe, Mestres Wåge, Mendoza Partida Architecture and Bax Studio.
A warm congratulations to everyone involved, and to the community in Kristiansand, who now has a museum recognised on the world stage.
