We are an international structural engineering consultancy with offices in Oslo, Valencia, Trondheim and Athens.
With a strong architectural focus, we help realise ambitious projects by developing elegant, efficient and robust structural solutions. Collaborating with architects, developers and contractors, we transform visionary ideas into buildable realities.
Our expertise spans signature bridges, timber structures, complex geometries and advanced construction methodologies. From early-stage concepts through to detailed engineering, fabrication and construction, we combine creativity, technical precision and a deep understanding of how structures are built.

Why are we called Degree of Freedom
As human beings, we are free to move. We can walk forward, move up or down, step to the left or right, turn around ourselves, or even do a somersault. In engineering, all these movements can be described within a coordinate system as translations along the X, Y, and Z axes and rotations about those same axes. Each of these possible movements is known as a degree of freedom.
However, the purpose of a structure is not to move freely. By restraining these degrees of freedom, the forces that govern the design of our buildings will emerge. In other words, the stability and strength of a structure is born from controlling its movement. That principle inspired our name 15 years ago. But for us, Degree of Freedom has always meant more than engineering theory.
We believe engineering should not limit ideas. It should make them possible. It is about finding solutions when a project presents constraints and turning complexity into opportunity.
