Whistleblowing

At Degree of Freedom, we want to maintain an open culture where everyone feels safe to speak up about concerns or unacceptable conduct.

You should report a concern if you become aware of circumstances that you believe may be in breach of laws, regulations, our internal policies, ethical standards, or what can reasonably be expected within our organisation.

Examples may include:

– Harassment, discrimination or inappropriate behaviour

– Risks to health and safety

– Corruption, fraud or other financial misconduct

– Breaches of laws, regulations or internal policies

– An unsafe or unacceptable working environment

– Other serious or unacceptable conduct

How can I report a concern?

You can submit a report using the form below.

You may choose to provide your name and contact details, but this is voluntary. Reports submitted without a name will also be reviewed and followed up to the extent possible based on the information provided.

Please describe the matter as clearly and specifically as possible, including what happened, when it happened and who may have been involved.

What happens after I submit a report?

All reports will be treated confidentially. Information will only be shared with those who need it in order to assess and handle the matter.

The report will be reviewed and followed up as soon as reasonably possible. If you provide contact details, you will normally receive confirmation that your report has been received.

Anyone who reports concerns in good faith must not be subject to retaliation or other negative consequences as a result of raising the concern.

If the report concerns a person who would normally be responsible for handling it, the matter will be referred to another appropriate and impartial person.

Other ways to report a concern

If you do not wish to use the form, you may also raise a concern verbally or in writing with your immediate manager, the Managing Director, the employee safety representative, or another person identified in the company’s whistleblowing procedure.

If your concern relates to the Managing Director, it should be reported to and handled by the Chair of the Board.
